Kit

Shop assistant

Gets the fit right before the return

Kit is the shop assistant on NORTHBOUND’s online store. It sizes customers from each garment’s real measurements and the label’s own return data, checks stock by colour and size, and puts the right piece in the bag. After the sale it tracks orders without inventing delivery dates, runs returns and exchanges inside the 30-day window, and only ever applies promo codes that genuinely exist.

What Kit does for NORTHBOUND

A shop assistant that knows the garments, the stockroom and the rules, and sells without inventing anything: no made-up sizes, dates or discounts.

  1. 01

Sizes from the garment, not the size chart

Height, weight, build and how they like it to fit go in. Kit scores every size against that garment’s own measurements, corrected by what its returns say: the Ridge runs slim across the shoulders, so 41% of its returns are “too tight” there. Out comes a size, the reasons and a confidence, and a low one is said out loud.

  2. 02

Stock by colour and size, straight into the bag

Kit checks the stockroom before it says anything is in, shows every size in the colour asked for, and bags a piece only after a yes. Sold-out sizes can’t be added, and Drop 07 is capped at three per customer.

  3. 03

    Tracking, without invented promises

An order opens only when its number and delivery postcode match. Kit reads the carrier’s scans back plainly, gives the carrier’s date as an estimate, and offers what is real: a text when it moves, or cancel and refund.

  4. 04

Returns and swaps inside 30 days

Kit starts a free return or a size swap inside 30 days of delivery, and checks the new size is in stock before it says yes. Outside the window it says no plainly; faulty items go to the care team instead of being refused. A parcel still in transit can only be cancelled whole, and only after the customer agrees.

  5. 05

    Real promo codes only

Money off exists only when Promotions says a code is live and the customer qualifies. Made-up, ended and staff codes are refused, and Kit points to the offer that genuinely exists instead of inventing one to save the sale.

  6. 06

    Restock, price-drop and delivery alerts

When a size has sold out, the price isn’t right yet or a parcel is stuck, Kit sets one alert by email or UK mobile, with the customer’s say-so. Restock dates are the factory’s estimate, and they are labelled that way.

The rules it keeps

Sewn in, like a care label. The hard limits (real codes only, the order-number and postcode check, the 30-day window, stock) are enforced in the shop’s code, so no amount of pushing moves them. The rest are Kit’s standing instructions, which the demo’s conversations show in action.

  • Never invents a discount: it applies only codes Promotions says are live, for the customers they are meant for.

  • Never promises a delivery date the carrier hasn’t given, and calls an estimate an estimate.

    NB07 · 02
  • Opens an order only when the order number and the delivery postcode match.

    NB07 · 03
  • Keeps to the 30-day returns window. Faulty items go to the care team instead of being refused.

    NB07 · 04
  • Gives every size with a confidence, and says so when the data is thin.

What to watchThe “30% off or I walk” chat: Kit checks the code the customer names, finds it isn’t real, and applies the genuine first-order 10% instead of making up a discount to save the sale.
